Call for Abstracts - Africa-EU Renewable Energy Research and Innovation Symposium (RERIS) 2018

With the aim to foster research cooperation on renewable energy between African and European academia, private and public sector, the Africa-EU Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme (RECP) and the National University of Lesotho (NUL) are jointly organising the second Africa-EU Symposium on Renewable Energy Research and Innovation (RERIS 2018) from 23–27 January 2018 in Maseru, Lesotho. The symposium will take place on the occasion of the NUL International Science and Technology Innovation Conference and Expo (NULISTICE 2018).

The RERIS committee welcomes your abstracts for the symposium. Abstracts should demonstrate the relevance of Africa-EU research collaboration and/or the experience with/potential for private and public sector participation or university spin-offs. Submitted abstract should fit into one or more of the following thematic areas:

  • Grid connected renewable energy
  • De-centralised renewable and household energy solutions
  • Energy socioeconomics (e.g. policy, economics, legal, regulatory and social issues)
  • Promotion of energy research, innovation, education and entrepreneurship

The submission deadline is 10 September 2017. All submissions must be made online via http://www.nulistice.org.ls/. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by 10 October 2017. We strongly encourage applications from female researchers.

All abstracts must be written in English using the provided abstract template. The selection process will be carried out by a scientific committee of international experts (committee members to be announced soon). Upon acceptance of abstracts, conference registration fees can be covered by the Africa-EU Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme (RECP).
